The Plurinational State of Bolivia has a high potential for aquaculture and fishing development. Despite this, it is one of the countries with the lowest fish consumption, just about 3 kg/person/year. Within this framework, the II International Aquaculture Symposium had the purpose of documenting and socializing new trends in aquaculture, based on the experiences of local aquaculturists, national and international researchers, with the aim of expanding and consolidating aquaculture activity in our country. The Symposium had five thematic axes: "Comprehensive Aquaculture for "Living Well", "Aquatic Biodiversity", "Technology Innovation in Aquaculture Systems", "Policies, Programs and Projects", and "Fish Farming in the Face of Climate Change". This book of summaries represents the effort of work carried out on these topics, including PPVI II, the Aquaculture Course of the Quechua Indigenous University, the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University, the Universidad Mayor de San Simón de Cochabamba, the IRD, the Binational of Lake Titicaca, Hoyam-Mojos, among others.
