The freshwater fishery resources of the Amazon need to be studied more closely, especially for its nutritional value and its productive potential. In Bolivia, fish production chains have received little attention from both public policy makers and producers themselves, which makes the fishing industry has not developed to the same extent as other sectors. This suggestibility, fully participatory in nature with local actors, characterizes and assesses the fishing activities in the northern Amazon of Bolivia, opening a significant gap for research – action and to define policies and sustainable conservaicón. The study identifies and economómicos socailes aspects of both chains paiche native species, species introduced in the area, within which are a number of conflicts, for example, those that result from a lack of definition of the rights of use of the resource.
